OMG!!!! it's been how long......

I really don't know why I have trouble keeping my blog up to date, but I just do.... All I can say is it's a life thing I guess....

What have I been up to.... Well I have found a new little hobby which has kept me busy and my mind off some stressful family stuff that has been going on since March, I'll see if I can remember this tech-no stuff and add an image......

Cj fun....

 

The last couple of months have been a little sad and stressful, thing's are not looking like settling for a while either, but today I found some me time and got the paint's out.... A window of creative play...... I have had to play mega catch up on some cj entries but once I got started I was off like a whirlwind lol....

 

This entry still needs a quote but so happy with how it has turned out....

 

 

All I need to do now is wrap them and post them...

My Little Lady Is 10 Today........

 

HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my little lady... I can't believe where the time has gone.... She is growing up so quickly...

 

Thought I'd share L's cake I have just finished making.... we are having a family tea tonight, a sleepover is in the planning for her friends in a couple of weeks so guess who will be making more cake :-D....

For my special little lady.....

Just a quick post today as I should be doing loads but needed five mins to just catch up with myself.... I made this card this morning for my Special Little Lady who will be 10 tomorrow... where has the time gone??? just thought I'd share a quick pic before I get icing the cupcakes...

 

 

I still need to make the Birthday Cake.... I think someone is going to be a busy girl tonight....

Well I said to my self last night I'd work in my cj's tomorrow (today now) and I have, messy play too... I have this thing of planning to do something and it not happening because of daily life stuff, but today it has gone to plan so far (probably shouldn't have said that to soon lol) well, I did have a few near accidents with a paint brush and my cup of tea, managed to stop it going in the cup before reaching the tea lol.....

 

I have two Cj's that I am taking part in on UKS (UKScrappers) and this is this mornings fun....

Art Journal Style

Whatever Takes Your Fancy, and Have Fun...

 

I started this one last night by drawing the girls face in pencil and using plain ol' colouring pencils to colour her face in... this morning she got a lick of paint and more paint :D I just need to add the title and journaling and maybe some doodling... but wanted to share now as to not spoil the whole thing for Helen ;-)...

Messy Art Journal with a Rainbow Theme...

 

I started out with the pencil again drawing the girls face and rough outline of the scene, then the painting just happened it's looking quite clean at the moment but again I have the title and journaling to do, I think there could be some stamping and rub on's making an appearence too... So I am sharing now to not spoil it for Gill

 

Hope the girls will like what I have done when they get their journals home... We have a little while to go still as only half way.....

My Poor Ol' Blog...

 

I can't believe it has been so long since I have been by my little ol' blog.... Bad Blogger (consider me told off)... I am hoping to work on it a little more and get back into posting my creative project's again.....

 

I proberly should say Happy New Year.... lol...

 

 

Some people will know I had hand surgery at the beginning of the year, (Carpal Decompression) I am getting back into the swing of crafting again and have lots of ideas floating about, just need to put into action.... I also have two Cj's that I am still involved in so plenty to do...

 

I have got an on going project for this year 'My 2013 Journal' I have a mile stone of a birthday this year and thought I would journal special events and just the odd random thing too of what happens this year (if that makes sense)... 

 

This is the journal I made. Here is what I have so far...

 

The cover I have left plain at the moment, think I want to leave it quite simple but not sure what to do yet!! 

 

 There is a pocket inside the cover which I plan to put some personal journaling and a quote about age, I have found a few that I quite like so I might use them throughout the journal...

The next page is of my new nephew Billy born on the 6th of January, there is a flip page here which hide my photo (camera shy me) and another photo of Billy and a tag behind for my journaling...

 

 

This next page (L) is about my hand surgery, I have three pockets for my journaling, photo and hospital band and date and where I had it done... Then the next one is just a little random, Snow and the 4 snow days my children had off school because they closed... It is again a pocket which has a tag for journaling and more photos...

 

 

 

I have also worked on a couple of Cj's to but forgot to take photos of these before I posted them on... Note to self- must remember to use the camera :-D...

This years Pumpkin's.....

Just a quick share of our pumpkin's for this year.... I was a little worried when my two wicked munchkins asked me yesterday to carve pumpkin's like last year.... but they haven't come out to bad if I do say so myself, with my hand op only two months ago.... I am paying for it a little today but the smiles were worth it.....

This Messy Playing Is Fun.....

I have been working on a Cj entry this morning for the 'Let's Get Messy Art Journal Cj', I don't really want to spoil things for who's Cj it is so I am only sharing another sneaky peek....

A Messy Sneaky Peek...

Well I am making some ground on my crafting projects now, feels like forever not being able to do the things I love to do.... and I have plenty to catch up with.... The list seems to be never ending but I am making a dent in it I just need to work out where to start lol....

 

 

'Messy Art Journal Cj', I am a few days over the posting but I am getting ther now, hopefully by the weekend I will be good to go and send my Art Journal off on a ickle trip ... I think it was a good job I had made the journal before I had surgery on my hand, but with not being able to play I have fallen behind a ickle... Yesterday I had fun and played (hubby did wonder a little as to why it was just sausage and mash for tea)... I found it so hard to start, the white page Gremlin got the better of me for a while but once the paint was on there you couldn't stop me... So here is a sneaky peek of my Art Journal as I don't want to spoil it to much for the girls in the Cj....

Crafty Happenings....

 

I haven't been to a crop for a while, I think it was June when I went last, so I was looking forward to a little crafty play at the weekend just gone... My daughter came to help me but I think I spent more time helping her oh and some how she managed to spend my money too lol .... I did have a quick play in my art journal (and it was quick, you can tell), on this background, (the face was something I had drawn before my op) it's still a work in progress.... it's a layer down...

 

Something else I haven't done for a while is made some ATC's so I have joined an ATC swap on Uks, here is a sneeky peek at my ATC's, they are a little simple but with my hand not playing properly yet I am quite pleased with them.... The background is something new for me using a highlighter pen and Distress inks and then some stamp'd images... hope the girls will like them....

 

I was hoping to have a play in a Cj I'm working on today but have woke up with a very sore hand, pain relief required, think the weekend's crafty play and the few house chores I have done have taken toll on me.... It's just the background I need to work on, planned on doing some hand drawings/doodles but holding the pen is not good will see how I feel a little later... so want to get it finished as I'm the last person to do an entry and then it is home....

 

 

Lets get MESSY....

 

OMG I haven't blogg'd since June (I've not been a very good blogger of late SORRY!!!!)..... Life has been a little hectic, and I have just had surgery on my wrist just over two weeks ago now, still a little sore but getting there.....I have found it very hard to be the patient as I'm usually the one to be looking after everyone else.... So I'm just starting to do a few thing's, looking forward to crafting again (tomorrow at a crop)....

 

 

So Lets Get Messy!!!

 

Before my op I decided to join another Cj, this one is an Art journaling one... Something I haven't done as a Cj before but have dabbled and thought this might be quite fun... This is my Journal I made (before the op)...   

 

The Cover I have just left plain at the moment (not sure what to do with it to be honest).

I covered chip board with some leather and stitched the edges and used a Coptic stitch to bind my signatures.... Sorry I've loaded the photos back to front.... long time since I have done this :D

 

 

Paper Beads

I had a little spare time yesterday and wasn't really sure what I wanted to do... I have this mini album idea floating around in my head but not enough time for that, So I decided to try and make some paper beads to maybe use as charm's on my mini book.... so this is what I have after my little bit of crafty time... The mini is possibly going to be quite vintage so it will probably be just the brown beads I use, but it was fun to try other colours too....

These are quite fiddly for me and made my wrists quite sore but if I only do a few a time I'm sure I'll be fine lol.... (the things we put are selves through for the love of crafting :D)

Sally B and the Reds....

These are photos my brother took yesterday at Norwich Airport. Sally B and the Red Arrows had been staying here for a local air show this weekend.... I didn't get there in time so to see Sally B taking off , she left earlier than planned... :- ( But got to see the Reds though :- )....

 I managed to get this one...

But the best seat in the house was on top of my brothers van... (health and safety was taken into account, they were told to sit still lol lol)....

Don't get to excited......

I found a little time yesterday to have a crafty moment....  My friend is off in her caravan next week so I made this little journal for her son (hes 7)...

The pages are plain printer paper so he can do what he wants with it and I just used the BIA (which I had to dust before I used it) to bind it, the caravan is hand drawn from an image I see on FB somewhere coloured with Promarkers... just something pretty simple... Hope he'll like it....

Still feeling pretty creative which is handy really cause when my little peeps saw it this morning it was "can we have one for our holiday, please mummy can we please", guess I'm going to be busy lol......

So it's now June....

Oh where as the time gone....


I have not had much of a creative time of late and daily living has taken over but here's hoping for a change... well there is a creative spark just hope it ignites and I can get back to playing with all the lovely crafty goodies I have... Hoping to find some crafty time soon to get creative and have a good ol' play....

Doodling....

I have just a little creativeness to report... The other night I sat at my craft table while everyone else was watching tv.... I just started doodling, came up with this little entry in my art journal... I just had a background of left over paint that I had slapped on a page so not to waste it, so nothing really creative... and with my journaling pen just went off on a doodle journey...



This was something I also did, got carried away with the pencils this time.... Had to cut her out as I did her on a scrap piece of paper, I have now stuck her in my art journal... need to come back and do something not sure what just yet but happy with her to wait a while...

This is something I did this evening... just can't seem to stop drawing again... The photo is not the best, lights not so good at this time of night....

A little scared to add colour to her, but might do it some day...

Art Journal... It's your life.....

Uks has a journaling prompt this week.... My head spins at this thought but I have been sitting at my craft table this morning thinking about words and using magazines to find these words... and have come up with this... (I have just realised that I need to add a word to this and that word is TOO!!!!!!)

It should read "It's Your Life Too Live It".....

The only thing now is to believe it and live my life.... being a stay at home mum and a wife I have slipped into a blur and have lost a little of me and who I am... I now have to find the happy medium and start to live my life as well without feeling selfish for doing so....

The things I do!!!!

With my little lady off school at the beginning of the week and me not feeling the best laryngitis (more antibiotic) we decided to get one of her Christmas presents out and work on it together, well I say together I knitted, Lolly stuffed and stitched (with assistance)... The knitting kit had the pattern for the larger dog but there was plenty of yarn left over so I knitted up a smaller one... So this is 'Lucky' and her puppy, don't think puppy has a name yet though probably just pup at the mo!!


I feel slightly chuffed as I don't call myself a knitter and was really unsure if I could help Lolly to do this, but I am really please with myself and how 'Lucky' turned out and more so that Lolly is pleased too!!!!

Art Journal update....

Just sharing my next page in my art journal... this took some doing as I really struggled to journal on it... This seems to be my main trouble the journaling, not sure always if what I am trying to say comes out the way I want to say it or even how to say it... I often think of something good (well I think it is good) but either forget it before I've had chance to write it down in my journal or don't think it is good enough in the end...

I really lack confidence in me and feel this is something I so need to work on... So hopefully working along side the girls on the UKs Art Journey will help me find myself so to speak...
