Advice Please.....

I have been asked to make some mini albums like the Bella Cork and the Shuffle Albums, which is good thing, but I don't know what to charge people for them. I find it so hard to judge what I should charge for thing's. I don't want to charge to much that I am never asked again or to under price that I'm out of pocket and I scrap on a budget as it is... So I could really do with your advice.... Hope you can help....

Where To Start?.....

I am having one of those day's where I don't know where to start, but have lot's to do IYKWIM (if you know whay I mean), so thought I'd make a brew and upload some of my crafty going on's.

This is a mini album that is based on a Shuffle album that Marion at a http://apieceofcraft.blogspot.com/ make's.....Mine need's bigger O-wires though....

This is a sneeky peeky of a Mini Tag Album for someone on UKS. It a surprise, so no telling now!!!!!

Well that's what I've been up to... So better drink up then I can get on with the day to day stuff, which will mean I can play some more..... YIPPPPPEEEEEE!!!!!!

A Crazy Day....

My house is full of kiddies (due to the yucky weather), there are lot's of giggles but also alot of shouting and screaming going on too.... We have been making cake's, playing with play dough and dress up, all I want to do is play with my stash and a mini album I'm working on..... I was surposed to be ironing but that went out the window (not literally but what a nice idea).... I have this really mad mojo rush but don't seem to have enough time to play.... typical....

Yes it is for me, and I am well pleased how it turned out, love it if that's aloud to love your own work.
It put's a little smile on the inside to think peep's like my work even though I'm quite shy about it... So thank's again for all your comment's....

Sneeky Peek

This is the lovely cork mini album by Bella, that I have been working on and kinda finished today, just need to add photo's but thought I'd share a peeky so far....

It's the Start of 7 Week's.....

It's day one of the school break and I am working on a lovely cork mini album by Bella which I got on Saturday from Steph at 'Indigo Mill. I have so much to do this week but hey I'm playing and having fun... and to my surprise the ickle peep's are being nice, this might all change as the week's go on but it's pretty good at the mo.....

How's you going to cope with the break???

Yesterday's News.

I was at Alison's Crop yesterday where I did a little make and take demo of a ATC holder, think it went well and the girl's had fun....

Also at Alison's crop were the Girl's from Indigo Mill with their lovely scrummy stash shop, I was quite good on the stash buying but a few thing's were just a must have, there were still lot's of very lovely things I would have loved too, but it's the budget thing that get's me everytime. Cheer's girl's it was good to see you again, oh and Steph I'll work on that e-mail (lol).....

Hope everyone is having a good weekend I'm still in the mood for scrapping from yesterday with a few idea's spinning around... Who know's what will happen today we will have to wait and see how it all go's....

Birthday Boy

Hi just want to pop by and say it's my little man's 5th birthday tomorrow, I can't believe my baby is going to be 5 where has the time gone, he is growing up so fast and yes becoming a true boy :) .....

Flower Power....

Sorry it's not a crafty post but thought I'd share this with you.

It's been a bit of a wait for the flower's to come out but it's worth it..... (It started to bud up at the begininng of June and has now only just flowered).

As Requested.... (It's a bit of a long one)

I have had some comment's asking how to make this mini book, so here it is.....





I have left measurement's out, apart from where needed then that way you can make to the size you want...

You will need:

Chip board
Cardstock
Patterned papper
Wet Glue + Glue brush
Double Sided Sticky Tape
Bone folder
Crop-a-dile/hole punch
Sissors/Craft Knife and a Trimmer
Brad's .



Attach Cardstock spine and PP using the wet glue, I have allowed 1 1/4" for the spine


Once the paper's are attached to the front cover I rounded the corner's (using a coin for a guide as I don't have the really nice corner rounder YET!!!!!)...


Attach the closure strip before attaching the inside cover using brads (I pre punched the holes with my Crop-a-dile to allow a little movement in the strap so the closing strap fit's through easier).

I used my bone folder to curve the strap to help when it comes to closing the book.

Attach the strap before attaching the inside cover.

Apply wet glue all over the inside including the spine area, then attach the inside cover pressing firmly into the spine area with a bone folder, also smooth out any air bubble with the bone folder.

For the spine of the book's inside I have scored at 1/2" interval's (this is 3" wide).

I use tape to attach my pages sticking only the one's shown.

On the reverse of the spine I then used another strip of tape to hold together. Like so.

Then using tape again to attach the books inside the cover lining up with the spine.

There you have a mini book....

Mini Book.....

As you have proberly gathered I like mini book's and coming up with new one's, so while I was having a bit of a crafty moment today this is the little baby that happened (thats two mini's this week)..... so thought I'd share a few pic's....

Chit Chat and Pic's

I know been away for what seem's like forever but since getting back from our hol's it has been really hectic here. What with family illnesses and hospital visits, infant school activities and the tennis I just haven't had the chance to do a catch up.... SORRY....

I have however managed to catch up with my cj's that have been here and made a mini book today to try and get back in the swing of thing's agian, it's empty at the mo so might use this for my little man's birthday party which is happening this weekend....
